This has been the most entertaining pre-season football camp that I have ever been a part of. Our players have been competing at an extremely high level and our work has been outstanding. The weather has been hot, the sun's been beating down on us and we've enjoyed every minute of it!
We had our first inter-squad scrimmage of the season yesterday, Sunday, and things went very well. We made some plays on offense and defense and our young guys competed very hard. We had a great crowd for the scrimmage, thanks to everyone who came out in support of the Jackets!
Couple of highlights from the scrimmage, Ryan Kish, an outside linebacker had a interception return for a touchdown, Anthony Gardner threw a TD pass to John Meyers on the last play of the scrimmage. Zach Haudenschield threw a TD pass to Matt Dash, who made an outstanding run after catch to complete the play. Senior captain Ryan Clokey had a productive scrimmage from his safety position and Brett Thompson had a great scrimmage from his outside linebacker position to highlight the defense.
I am sad that camp is over, it's been a great one. We definitely got better as a team over these past two weeks, now we turn our sites to Wooster for our scrimmage this coming Saturday.

The Baldwin-Wallace College football program is one of the best in all of college football. It is a simple and plain fact that is both factual and result based. Virtually every season, B-W is a contender for both the prestigious Ohio Athletic Conference title and the NCAA Division III National Championship.
On the field, B-W has built a history of being arguably the best football program in the history of the OAC. In 114-year history of football at the College, the Yellow Jackets have compiled an all-time record of 520-295 with a .615 winning percentage. The 520 wins are the most of any current OAC member school.
The Yellow Jackets have had 40 winning seasons in the past 42 years, including a 38-year streak that began in 1967 and ended in 2005. B-W won the 1978 national championship and has advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs five times, most recently in 2003 when it advanced to the second round. The Jackets have captured 12 OAC titles, including three straight from 1982 through 1984.
