Entering Thursday, the BW football team is finalizing preparations for this Saturday's game against rival John Carroll University.
As a newcomer to the Baldwin-Wallace football family this will be my first ever experience playing in this rivalry for the Cuyahoga Gold Bowl Trophy. This will also be my first ever experience with community night and my first home game with the Jackets. The excitement at practice has been obvious and our players are ready to take the newly laid down Tressel Field for the first time in a game situation.
Offensively, we are looking forward to executing the game plan that we've put in this week. We've had two great days of practive this week and we'll polish some things today and tomorrow as we build toward Saturday. We are expecting a great crowd on Saturday for the community night activities and the game, I'm looking forward to seeing Finnie stadium full of Jacket fans!
The excitement for Saturday's game has taken over the football facility here, our coaches and players are extremely excited for the game. The community night dinner is already sold out and the crowd should be excited for the game as well. For me, personally, I can't wait to celebrate a great victory with our Yellow-Jacket family and return the Cuyahoga Gold Bowl Trophy to Berea!

Baldwin-Wallace College
The Baldwin-Wallace College football program is one of the best in all of college football. It is a simple and plain fact that is both factual and result based. Virtually every season, B-W is a contender for both the prestigious Ohio Athletic Conference title and the NCAA Division III National Championship.
On the field, B-W has built a history of being arguably the best football program in the history of the OAC. In 114-year history of football at the College, the Yellow Jackets have compiled an all-time record of 520-295 with a .615 winning percentage. The 520 wins are the most of any current OAC member school.
The Yellow Jackets have had 40 winning seasons in the past 42 years, including a 38-year streak that began in 1967 and ended in 2005. B-W won the 1978 national championship and has advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs five times, most recently in 2003 when it advanced to the second round. The Jackets have captured 12 OAC titles, including three straight from 1982 through 1984.
